Meet Susan: Bear of the Month!

Congratulations to Susan, Our Bear of the Month!
We are delighted to recognize Susan as our Bear of the Month! Susan works diligently to bring engaging speakers to our monthly meetings and goes out of her way to make each guest feel welcome in our club. Her dedication helps create meaningful opportunities for our members to learn, connect, and stay informed. Susan also shares her artistic talents through her poetry, contributing to our Writers’ Corner and publishing her work in the local newspaper. Whether she’s sharing a poem or providing important updates about upcoming events, she does it all with her warm smile and welcoming spirit. Susan’s passion for political engagement began around 2002, when President George W. Bush launched the war in Iraq. Living in Topanga at the time, she took action by starting the Topanga Peace Alliance. After moving to the mountains full-time during COVID, Susan sought out a club where she could continue to be actively involved and make a difference. Susan believes that being politically engaged and involved in our communities is especially important during this pivotal time. She loves meeting new people, socializing with like-minded individuals, building friendships, and sharing her many gifts.  She strongly believes that we all need to suit up, speak up, show up, and stay involved more than ever. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your warm smile, laughter, friendship, creativity, and passion with our club. We are grateful to have you as part of our Bear family and proud to celebrate all that you bring to our community!
