ABOUT
My Name is Sabro Foster
I’m an author, freelance illustrator, and painter based
up in the San Bernardino Mountains. Ten years ago after personal tragedy and a career as an educator I began to paint consistently and seriously as a form of therapy and to sell my artwork in galleries, online, and at local shows and fairs.
After spending time painting people and wildlife and illustrating everything from serious book covers to a running anthropomorphized hot dog, I stumbled into a wonderful handful of lonely robots who appear to be carrying on regardless of their circumstances. In 2020 I published a book I wrote and illustrated – When Robot Lost His Human.
The robots were whimsical and evocative and over time became the focus of most of my work. I am challenged as an artist to find ways to elicit emotions and depict this world these robots inhabit in a way that I hope speaks to you.
