A new law was passed in California confirming Gavin Newsom’s earlier order to have mail in ballots sent to every registered voter. The legislation takes the teeth out of the lawsuits challenging the executive order, by enabling the sending of mail in ballots by legislation rather than by executive order, and by ensuring that mail in ballots will not be sent to inactive voters.

Protesters face off with police outside the White House in Washington, DC, early on Mary 30, 2020 during a demonstration over the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after a white Minneapolis policeman knelt on his neck for several minutes.

The President tweeted that the protesters “would have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen,” had they breached the fence at the White House.
