MBDC joined the High Desert Democrats and the Not Stepping Back coalition today in Hesperia to confront Jay on his betrayal to his people and country. Jay was there for his Bitcoin buddies…but cowardly slithered out the back way out to avoid his constituents.

Jay Obernolte voted yea on the House passage of the bill on May 22, 2025 and yea again when the House agreed to the Senate amendment on July 3, 2025. 

Rep. Obernolte voted to add trillions to the national debt, now he’s bragging about cutting $9 billion – San Bernardino Sun. Editorials.

Congressman Obernotle voted to cut $800B from Medicaid (Medi-Cal in CA) by supporting the One, Big, Beautiful Bill, which would also strip mixed-status parents within his district from their Child Tax Credit ✂️.

He voted for this bill knowing that:
‼️48% of his district relies on Medi-Cal
‼️22% rely on SNAP food benefits, including over 2,000 veterans.

John Lewis’s famous quote is: “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.” He used this phrase to encourage people to actively challenge injustice and fight for positive change through nonviolent action. 

The phrase “good trouble” encapsulates the idea that meaningful change often requires disruption and challenging the status quo. It’s a call to action for individuals to speak out, get involved, and make a difference in their communities and the world. Lewis’s philosophy was rooted in the belief that silence in the face of injustice is not an option.

Thank you Lauren G and Nancy M for organizing and pulling off an epic MBDC parade event! Also to everyone who showed up at 7am to decorate and the brave bears that walked the parade or cheered us on! Shout out to Paul Chakalian, a business owner and community advocate currently running for Congress and Randall Putz, candidate for our California Assembly District 34. …..it was an honor you joined us. We were a hit!

With a black eye the Statue of Liberty and her BRAVE patriots proudly represented the MBDC in the Crestline Jamboree Parade. They were met with big cheers, excitement and happy smiles of fellowship. Apparently we actually have many community members who support our cause. Together we can make a difference and united we can overcome!

Power to the people!

Henry attended the @sbcdemparty 3rd Annual Breakfast with the Democrats with some of the best people from @hdprogressivedems.  @Chriskluwe was our inspiring guest speaker who reinforced this year’s theme of resilience.

It was a room full of like minded individuals. The theme was unity, with the host (MC) Derek Marshall bringing in overwhelming positive energy.
So many different Democratic clubs of the Inland Empire, plus the Young Democrats and Progressive Democrats, also in attendance were a few other organizations Planned Parenthood, and Pro Immigrant organizations. Guest speaker was former Minnesota Vikings player Chris Kluwe, who went viral after being arrested in protest against Republican Extremism against  book bans and the LGBTQ+. He gave a very inspirational speech and announced his candidacy to the city council. The Democratic agenda will be focusing on taking back our local elections and getting progressive candidates to fill those seats. The breakfast was not only informative but also a fundraiser, it raised 40K and a few of us committed to being a monthly contributor, to help grow this movement and  in the process grow the party with not just membership but active participation.
